One of our favorite trips in Loreto.
Carmen Island is one of Loreto’s most remarkable destinations. Once home to a thriving salt mining operation, the island was abandoned after the company went bankrupt, leaving behind a fascinating ghost town with a church, school, and former workers’ homes.
Today, the island is also dedicated to the conservation of the Desert Bighorn Sheep and is renowned for its pristine beaches, dramatic landscapes, and abundant wildlife.
On our North Carmen Island Tour, you’ll explore secluded beaches, hike through breathtaking scenery, discover hidden caves, and experience the unique history and natural beauty that make Carmen Island an unforgettable adventure.

- First, we do ocean safari in search for wild animals, rock formations and birds.
- After that, we can do a couple of Loreto snorkel spots.
- Finally, we’ll do a picnic on a white sand beach. (Hike available on the island as well, bring closed shoes
